The New Milford Education Foundation's Teacher Grants are paying off in student educational experiences. As educators spend the funding they received from NMEF, students are being provided academic opportunities above and beyond the quality education already offered at the New Milford School District.

Grants to Enhance Educational Experience For New Milford Students.
The New Milford Education Foundation has announced they will award 12 grants totaling $18,000 to twelve teachers and 4 schools throughout the district.
The New Milford Education Foundation has been proud to provide donations of teacher grants in the past four years totaling over $51,000 to twenty-five teachers throughout the district to enhance established curricula throughout each school. This year, we received the highest number of grant requests and are happy to report that we will be donating to all twelve of them in their entirety or in some capacity totaling between $15,000-$18,000.

- Tim Coughlin & Jessica Torre - outdoor playground/black top activities for Berkley and Gibbs Schools. Donation of paint provided by Hollywood Landscaping
- Mabel Bonilla - Items to update IBC and MD room at New Milford High School
- Dana Griesbach - Chicken Egg hatching, Kindergarten at Berkley.
- Jeannine Tricario & Brendan King - Items to update the teachers room at New Milford High School
- Jessica Yager - Journal books for 10th - 12th grades at New Milford High School
- Heidi Haderthauer - Four Xylophones for David E Owens Middle School
- Keith Devereaux - Digital Integrated Microscope for New Milford High School
- Jamie McHugh - IBC learning activities for Gibbs School
- Laura Evans - Multicultural books for classroom libraries at 1st grade, Berkley School
- Lisa Horgan - Outdoor gardens, 1st grade, Berkley School. Donation of dirt from Hollywood Landscaping and plants from Fresh and Fancy farms
- Lisette Morel - Visiting lecturer and art supplies at New Milford High School
- Aurelia Howard - Headsets for students to practice listening and speaking skills in world languages at David E Owens Middle School
