Letter From The President
The New Milford Education Foundation was launched in 2011 with a goal of enhancing the educational excellence of the New Mliford Public Schools by awarding grants for programs and purchases that support curriculum and facilities, funding student scholarships and professional development consistent with our mission of making measurable impacts on the experience of students, teachers and parents.
The fundraising events that have been held over the years, have resulted in awarding over twenty teacher grants totaling over $51,000 to twenty-five teachers throughout the district to enhance established curricula throughout each school. The NMEF has also awarded $8,000 in student scholarships in June 2019, 2020 and 2021. In all, the NMEF has awarded over $40,000 in student scholarships from 2013-2021.
Of course, all of this could not have been possible without the support of the New Milford community and all our other many supporters. Our mission can only be fulfilled by the generosity of others, without it, the funding for academic opportunities, and exciting new innovations for our students are not possible.
The NMEF could not function without its group of dedicated volunteers, however we always are looking for new members and hope that you will consider joining us in fulfilling our mission and realizing our theme that New Milford is… “A Place to Grow”.
